The Walrus and the gullible

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes - and ships - and sealing wax
Of cabbages - and kings -
And why the sea is boiling hot -
And whether pigs have wings" "Lewis Carroll"
Jumping into 2019 with no clear or half hearted business plan will inevitably lead to your business suffering.
Copying others and trying to re-invent the wheeel is another classic non-starter.
Your competitors will feed on you as much as the Walrus did to the Oysters, You need to closely examine where you are and what you want to achieve in this coming year. Decide how much business is required, what products need to be added to your portfolio or which products need enhancing or dropped (yes I said dropped)
The critical element in all this is that your target market needs to be clearly defined.
Look back on 2018 and see what worked for you and why, build on this experience for the coming year. Get help if you need it. Don't believe everything you are told and don't follow on behind or play catch up.
Finally at the end of 2019 don't whinge that it didn't go your way, if it doesn't then its your fault. Yes, your fault.
Success is measureable, achievable and required. Nothing less is expected.
